Dinosnores Sleepover
1st Woosehill took 22 Cubs, Scouts and Leaders on a Dinosnores sleepover at The Natural History Museum.
We started our adventure from Twyford Station, upon arrival at Paddington we found a fellow adventurer in Paddington Bear, he was very accommodating in having a picture with us!.
We then hiked from Paddington through Hyde Park to The Natural History Museum.
The event is open to the general public as well as uniformed organisations and on this occasion we were the only uniformed organisation there which was great as we could use the school area downstairs for our packed tea and breakfasts to ourselves 🙂
Once we arrived the museum we registered (very slick!) and then found our sleeping spots overlooking the Blue Whale.
We took a packed tea which we had in between activities laid on by the Museum during the evening.
The Cubs, Scouts and Leaders really enjoyed the events put on ranging from talks about dinosnores to having a go at finding bones as an archaeologist.
Events finished at 11.30pm and shortly after it was lights out.
We were woken up bright and early by a very familiar Jurassic Park theme tune, what a great way to wake up!.
We packed up our gear and then had breakfast (pre-ordered), headed to the shop, had a bit more time walking around the museum before it opened to the General Public and then hiked back to Padddington Station for our return journey.
We invested a Cub, Scout and a Leader by the Blue Whale - what a way to be invested into Scouting!.
This was our 3rd Dinosnores sleepover and we would highly recommend!. Never a dull moment!. It was aa roaring success!
