🌟 A Galactic Adventure at Youlbury!

In a galaxy not so far away—specifically, Youlbury Scout Activity Centre—our Kingfishers and Swifts Beaver Colonies launched into an unforgettable Star Wars-themed weekend of fun and adventure!

From zooming down the Zip Wire to hitting targets in Archery and building like true rebels in Pioneering, the Beavers threw themselves into every challenge with enthusiasm and courage. The campfire brought warmth and cheer, complete with yummy s’mores.

For some Beavers, staying at camp was a daunting experience - and they did so well! Sleeping in giant teepee tents in the tented village felt like camping on Endor (minus the Ewoks), and even though the 5am wake-up was a bit early for the adults, the excitement was undeniable.

Thankfully, the forecasted rain held off during the day, allowing us to make the most of every outdoor activity under dry skies. The Force was clearly with us!

A massive thank you goes to our wonderful team of parent volunteers who kept everyone well-fed and happy. Dinner featured hearty pasta and sauce, and dessert of Swiss roll and angel delight, while breakfast powered our adventurers with cereal, fruit, and sausages in rolls.

Every Beaver showed bravery, kindness, and a fantastic team spirit throughout the weekend. Whether it was a first zip wire ride or sharing a tent with new friends, they all proved they’re ready for many more adventures to come.
